Eine Höfner Committee mit der Seriennummer 2.120 (Label im Corpus)! Das Modell wurde ab 1953/1954 ausschließlich für den Markt in UK hergestellt. Entsprechend Steve Russel (www.vintagehofner.co.uk/gallery/gallery2/arcs.html) müsste diese Gitarre die 120. Committee überhaupt sein.  Bei der Überarbeitung fielen aus dem Corpus kleine Stückchen Zeitungspapier heraus.  Eines davon trug die Jahreszahl 1953. Somit ist diese Gitarre eine frühe Committee aus den Jahren 1953 oder 1954 (die Seriennummer 2.245 stammt lt. Steve Russel bereits aus dem Jahr 1955).

Was für eine Pracht! Eine massive Fichtendecke wurde mit einem laminierten Corpus mit phantastischem Vogelaugen-Ahorn kombiniert. Dazu das Ornament auf der Rückseite des Corpus sowie die Frondose-Kopfplatte (frondose = farnwedelartig) sind einzigartig und aufwändig hergestellt.

Die Gitarre weist bis auf die Decke die Originallackierung auf und ist sehr gut erhalten. Ein Hals-Reset war jedoch notwendig.

Lediglich das Schlagbrett war vorhanden, aber defekt. Daher wurde ein originalgetreues Replikat verwendet.

Klanglich liegt die Gitarre in der obersten Liga.

Das Höfner Modell 464 weist ein zusätzliches rautenförmiges Schallloch auf. Dieses Schalloch wie auch die Kopfplatte sind mit einem Notenschlüssel vberziert. Die gewölbte Decke ist hier wie beim Modell 461 generell aus massiver Fichte gefertigt. Daher ist diese Gitarre wunderbar im Klang.

Diese sehr frühe Höfner Club 50 hat sämtliche Originalteile, inklusive der beiden „Black Bars“, die kultigen schwarzen Tonabnehmer, die bei den ersten Modellen, wie hier, aus Ebenholz gefertigt sind. Die originale Lackierung konnte erhalten werden!

Nachdem ein Hals-Reset erledigt war und die Elektrik überarbeitet wurde, ist die Gitarre wieder voll einsetzbar!

Diese frühe Höfner Committee Thinline weist die Originallackierung auf und ist sehr gut erhalten. Lediglich Hals-Reset und winzige Lackreparaturen sowie die Überarbeitung der Elektronik (Neuwickeln der Tonabnehmer) waren notwendig.

Die Mechaniken wie auch das Schlagbrett waren nicht mehr vorhanden und wurden originalgetreu angefertigt.
